Final Narrative Overview

This was a nine week unit starting March 12 and going through April 30 working with students from United Action for Youth. The units were taught by three other instructors along with myself, and we all had different themes, mine being centered around ceramics. The first eight sessions began with thirty minutes dedicated to community time where the students would work on fun activities that would help them bond as a group. After community time, the class would break into their groups, and the remaining 95 minutes of class would be spent teaching our own individual lesson plans. My class consisted of four students who ages ranged from thirteen to eighteen years old. During the ninth week, we met twice at the UAY center. Tuesday was spent setting up for the show, and Thursday, April 30, was the day of the exhibit.
